Creative Space Aarhus

I really like the idea of pottery painting and it’s a great activity to do with your loved ones. I have done it multiple times but I still would’ve liked an introduction at this place. My friend and I were waiting for quite a long time and they just said someone will show us everything soon but at some point we just decided to get started. When you have an appointment in the afternoon, don’t plan a bigger project, since you might run out of time. Overall I’m happy with the quality of my piece and it was ready to be picked up in about one week.

Will never come again. Very unprofessional staff with bad customer service. I suggest to go to “Art By Me” in Aarhus - much better place with more choice of ceramic / paint / different tools / menu. Better customer service and organized experience. We had a visitor coming from another country and we all went to paint ceramics. During the visit we asked the stuff how long until the ceramics would be ready and she said it would take about 10 days. We have previously had guests from other countries and we were in another place called “Art By Me” (also in Aarhus) and they could prioritize our ceramics so the guests could get it before traveling back home. We asked the same here, but didn’t get a clear answer. Before leaving the same day we caught another girl and asked the same question - she said the same “about 10 days”. We explained the situation and asked if there is any chance we could get it faster (a visitor had to leave in a week) - she suggested to call in couple days. And then the worst started… We called in couple days and asked the same question about ceramics and if they could anyhow put just that one ceramic couple days earlier into the oven (it was a small bowl), and they said “we cannot find it, we will call you back tomorrow”. The next day they didn’t call.. after calling, we had exactly the same conversation ending with “try to call us tomorrow”. And the next day. And the next day. We could not get a clear answer, they kept saying they cannot find it and maybe it is in the oven, try to call tomorrow. During one call they also asked if we paid for the fast burning, which we didn’t even know was an option and were never offered to do that. Of course we would do it! A day before our visitor had a flight, we had called again and asked if they can find the ceramic and the girl said again she cannot find it so maybe it is in the oven (a lot of “maybes” in every conversation). So tomorrow it might be done. On the day we had to leave to the airport at 11 and we called 10:30 to ask one last time and WOW, we were so happy! The girl said it is ready and we can pick it up today!!! We rushed so fast to drive there before the airport and when were out the door running, we got a call from the ceramic place saying “sorry, but they are not ready”, it usually takes 10 days for them to be ready. Of course, we were very upset…. We know it usually takes 10 days, but this whole time we tried to ask them to make an exception and make that 1 ceramic a bit faster. But it felt like they totally ignored all that, because every day when we called we had to explain it all over again and again… The staff felt very unorganized, not aware of the process, lost and failed to give concrete answers. P.S. the visitor was a child who painted a bowl for her kitten.. And we cannot send it by post, because we are afraid for it to break.

It was a fun and different way of spending a few hours, unleashing our artistic sides. Though if there was courses lasting more than 2hours it would be less stressful, and we could create something... better. Very helpful and kind staff, they were ready to assist in any way needed. Also great idea with having a bar, for the dry throats :D
